My family and I enjoyed dinner at Johnny Rockets located in Valencia. Johnny Rockets is such a fun place to eat after a day of shopping at the mall, picking out a favorite book at Borders or after seeing a movie at Edwards Valencia theatre.



We were greeted as we walked in and chose to sit at the counter since they were a bit busy. Our two hungry boys ordered the Smoke House Double, which is two fresh hamburger patties, two slices of cheddar cheese, thick bacon, crispy onion rings, and “Smoke House” bbq sauce. The boys were so hungry that they wanted a third hamburger patty added to the burger. We decided to wait on the additional patty, and if they were still hungry after they ate this enormous burger they could order an additional item.

We ordered the Chicken Club Salad, which is a grilled chicken breast served on crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce with chopped bacon, ripe tomatoes, grated cheddar cheese, and your choice of dressing. We also ordered onion rings served with ranch dressing – just the way I like them!



The kid’s menu (12 and under) has plenty of kid-friendly items, including grilled cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and also burgers and hot dogs. Kids’ meals include a kid’s size American French fries and choice of milk or soda pop.



We had a wonderful dinner; everything was perfect, from the nostalgic atmosphere to the excellent service, the delicious salads, and the tender, juicy, flavorful burgers. Turns out that the boys were fine with what they ordered. Johnny Rockets’ patties are a full 1/3-pound fresh, never frozen pure ground beef, seasoned and grilled to order.

Tri Tipps

The name says it all! There is (or can be) Tri Tip on (or in) anything on the menu.

There’s your usual Tri Tip Sandwich, salad or on a platter but there is also Tri Tip on pizza, in chili, in burritos and tacos, quesadillas, Chimichangas and more.

A very friendly employee, Chad greeted us at the counter and helped us with ordering. We didn’t know where to start, everything looked so good. Chad gave us a few suggestions and pointers. For instance, meals come with two sides, Chad encouraged us to order the baked beans as one of the sides because these beans are loaded with you know what…tri tip! We ended up ordering the Tri Tip Platter with mashed potatoes and the baked beans and a chicken breast platter with Mac ‘n cheese and of course I had to get the highly recommend baked beans as well.

Tri Tips has delicious food, we can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu. Chad was amazing! He came over to our table and made sure everything was o.k. and like I said before, just super friendly.

Tri Tips offers catering for your special occasion. They will deliver anywhere in the Santa Clarita Valley and are very liberal with their delivery route. If the order is large enough they will deliver to San Francisco!

They are open seven days a week from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Happy Hour is from 4:00 to 6:00 daily and offers $3.00 off a pitcher of draft beer and 99 cent draft beer in a cup.
